The Wu De grading system

In the Wu De Martial Arts Association, children can demonstrate their knowledge in junior exams, and adults in traditional Wu De exams. The junior exam program is divided into 6 grades, while the Wu De exam program consists of 12 student grades and 6 master grades. The colors associated with the grades have symbolic meanings, each level is associated with a virtue, the student must pay special attention to mastering and practicing this virtue in everyday life.

About Wu De Wing Tsun exams:

The first level can usually be completed after 2-3 months of training, but after that the amount of curriculum and the expectations regarding accuracy, striking power, and coordination increase, so in the advanced levels it usually takes half a year to a year to jump up an exam level. There is an old kung fu saying: "it's important not when you started kung fu, but where you are right now" - there is no predetermined "waiting period", everyone progresses at their own pace. There are 12 adult levels, the 12th is the "master candidate" level.

Anyone coming from another kungfu school can take a placement exam, which is free of charge and the grade they receive will accurately reflect their knowledge. In such a case, the full material from each previous grade must be presented at the exam to ensure that their knowledge is not incomplete.

For the first grade, candidates receive a Wu De T-shirt with their degree symbol, for the second grade, they receive Wu De uniform trousers, and for the seventh grade, they receive the advanced Wu De T-shirt. In case of a successful master exam, the full master uniform is a gift for the exam. You can apply for the exam with a valid membership book, which must be brought to the exam, in which the new grade will also be registered.

About the junior exams:

The Wu De Martial Arts Association has 6 junior grades, which, like the adult grades, include theoretical and practical curriculum, but the children only have to present the practical part in the exam.

Students who wish to teach can take the assistant and training leader exams free of charge in our association.
