In our school, we deal with children and adults separately, as the two groups require different paces, different types of tasks and differently formulated instructions. During the junior training, children aged 5-9 years old, in addition to the basics of self-defense, are introduced to the first form of Wing Tsun kung-fu and numerous playful skill-building exercises, which help develop a sense of balance, spatial orientation, coordination skills, attention and concentration. We place emphasis on strengthening the skeletal muscles, improving stamina and developing correct posture. During the exercises, a healthy competitive spirit, cooperation and attention to each other are developed. The goal is to learn to respect each other, realize the importance of their own values, become confident, dare to dream and dare to act in order to achieve their dreams in a friendly and safe environment.
The junior sessions start with a short conversation, during which we talk about patience, courage, perseverance, discipline, respect, or avoiding online dangers, among other things. As a result of theoretical and practical education, children develop a healthy value system, they will be able to distinguish right from wrong, the essential from the unessential. With the help of kung-fu exercises, they can develop a calm, yet active lifestyle even in the short term. In addition to training, in the summer, we welcome children to the Wu De junior summer camps, where in addition to kung-fu, we learn languages, relax, play music, and do creative things.
We recommend two training sessions per week for children, on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
