Wing Tsun kung-fu, like other kung-fu styles, originated in China. Its specialty is that it attacks sensitive targets with short and precise movements, making it an excellent self-defense technique for a smaller person. It diverts the attacker's power and redirects it back to the attacker by adding its own power. Wing Tsun footwork is characterized by quick steps and low kicks, which are performed in sync with hand techniques.
Wing Tsun, however, is not only about fighting and self-defense, but also about self-expression, personality development and self-realization. As with any other art, Wing Tsun also helps us to get to know ourselves and our own limitations better. When practicing kung fu, we not only train our bodies, but also gain greater confidence, endurance and stamina through a lot of practice. During practice, the ability to concentrate, condition, reflexes and movement coordination also develop. In addition to developing physical abilities and acquiring a healthy philosophy of life, the logic and memory of the practitioners also develop: during the exercises, we place great emphasis on anatomical and physical explanations, as well as explaining the connection between cause and effect. Through Far Eastern culture, we can gain insight into the mysteries of the Chinese language and philosophy; and with the help of moral education, the student can further develop self-discipline, courage, willpower, perseverance and patience. The principles and teachings learned in Wing Tsun training can be applied by students not only during practice, but also in everyday life, so they can become a kind of guide for them to find the right path and their own path in today's world.
Wing Tsun kung fu trainings:
Morning group: Tuesday, Thursday 8:00-9:30
Evening group: Monday, Wednesday 18:00-19:30
Location: Wu De Activity Hall (Trencséni Street 22, Szeged)
"Kung fu is both a mental and physical challenge, an excellent tool for keeping our bodies and souls young. The school leaders work with diverse methods, unwavering enthusiasm, and maximum patience and respect for their students to ensure our continuous development. They place special emphasis on strengthening the cohesion between group members, thanks to which we can practice in a friendly community week after week."
