The Wu De grading system In the Wu De Martial Arts Association, children can demonstrate their knowledge in junior exams, and adults in traditional Wu De exams. The junior exam program is divided into 6 grades, while the Wu De exam program consists of 12 student grades and 6 master grades. The colors associated with the grades have symbolic meanings, each level is associated with a virtue, the student must pay special attention to mastering and practicing this virtue in everyday life. About Wu De Wing Tsun exams: The first level can usually be completed after 2-3 months of training, but after that the amount of curriculum and the expectations regarding accuracy, striking power, and coordination increase, so in the advanced levels it usually takes half a year to a year to jump up an exam level. There is an old kung fu saying: "it's important not when you started kung fu, but where you are right now" - there is no predetermined "waiting period", everyone progresses at their own pace. There are 12 adult levels, the 12th is the "master candidate" level. Anyone coming from another kungfu school can take a placement exam, which is free of charge and the grade they receive will accurately reflect their knowledge. In such a case, the full material from each previous grade must be presented at the exam to ensure that their knowledge is not incomplete. For the first grade, candidates receive a Wu De T-shirt with their degree symbol, for the second grade, they receive Wu De uniform trousers, and for the seventh grade, they receive the advanced Wu De T-shirt. In case of a successful master exam, the full master uniform is a gift for the exam. You can apply for the exam with a valid membership book, which must be brought to the exam, in which the new grade will also be registered. About the junior exams: The Wu De Martial Arts Association has 6 junior grades, which, like the adult grades, include theoretical and practical curriculum, but the children only have to present the practical part in the exam. Students who wish to teach can take the assistant and training leader exams free of charge in our association.

Chi-kung Chi-kung is a ancient Chinese method for achieving harmony with ourselves, our peers, and nature. In today's fast-paced world, it is very important to be able to truly experience the important moments, release the tension that builds up inside us, and recharge ourselves with chi (energy, air). Chi-kung is a breathing exercise in which we can achieve a state of inner harmony through slow movement and focusing our consciousness. As a result, our everyday lives can become calmer, we can make decisions more easily, and concentrate on our tasks. Do-in Do-in is an ancient Japanese method for achieving and maintaining physical and mental harmony, as well as maintaining mental freshness. With the help of do-in, we harmonize the energy flowing in our body (Ki in Japanese, Chi in Chinese) through slow movement and conscious breathing. Do-in is a type of active meditation, where we can observe and track the changes in our body and psyche in detail. It develops body awareness, can make us more resistant to stress and can also improve our problem-solving skills. It helps us concentrate and relax. It is based on Chinese medicine, a holistic view, where everything is connected to everything and forms a complete whole. The goal is prevention, not isolated treatment of existing problems. "For me, do-in and Chi-kung mean physical and mental refreshment. The beneficial effects of the stretching exercises can be felt immediately after the session, and the few minutes of meditation at the end of the class help you relax. All this in a good team, in a beautiful environment, and with a kind and prepared instructor." Zsuzsi

Female self-defense

Female self-defense

Our self-defense training courses, specially designed for women, are recommended for women who want to consciously prepare for a possible attack. During the training, women can learn techniques and tactics that are suitable for protecting themselves in unexpected situations, against attacks from the side and behind, attacks with tools and in the case of multiple attackers. During the session, participants learn to recognize dangerous situations, possible ways to avoid them, use objects in their environment (keys, bags, umbrellas) for self-defense purposes, as well as effective escape and parrying movements. "I first visited Wu De Activity Hall in April, when I took part in the women's self-defense course. We learned several useful things here that we can use in the event of a possible attack. One of the mottos I've heard there: Be your attacker's nightmare. This means that if you have no chance to run away and dodge the attack, then face him and attack, the attacker usually doesn't expect this." Barbi

Strength and mobility

Strength and mobility

As a result of sedentary jobs (at least 4 hours of sitting per day), many people develop musculoskeletal problems that can be 100% solved with exercise. The key is to follow the principle of gradualism. Primarily for beginners, free weights, bodyweight and rubber band workouts for stability and strength. Strength and mobility - morning workouts Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00-9:00 Wu De Activity Hall (Trencséni Street 22, Szeged) Trainings are led by: Milán Kovács "A form of exercise that was previously strange to me has become a routine that I find a lot of use in my everyday life." Teen group (9-15 years)

Our teaching program, designed for 10-15 year olds, helps develop coordination, balance, stamina and concentration within the framework of intensive training. During the training, we emphasize cooperation and attention to each other, and students can learn effective self-defense techniques and tactics in a safe environment. Training and summer camps help young people realize the importance of their own values, learn to stand up for themselves and set their boundaries. In addition to Wing Tsun kung-fu techniques and self-defense situations, we also cover the following theoretical topics: online self-defense, being safe on the streets, methods of avoiding school conflicts, techniques for confident performance, stress management methods, mindfulness (conscious presence), and positive thinking.

Junior group (5-9 years)

Junior group (5-9 years)

In our school, we deal with children and adults separately, as the two groups require different paces, different types of tasks and differently formulated instructions. During the junior training, children aged 5-9 years old, in addition to the basics of self-defense, are introduced to the first form of Wing Tsun kung-fu and numerous playful skill-building exercises, which help develop a sense of balance, spatial orientation, coordination skills, attention and concentration. We place emphasis on strengthening the skeletal muscles, improving stamina and developing correct posture. During the exercises, a healthy competitive spirit, cooperation and attention to each other are developed. The goal is to learn to respect each other, realize the importance of their own values, become confident, dare to dream and dare to act in order to achieve their dreams in a friendly and safe environment. The junior sessions start with a short conversation, during which we talk about patience, courage, perseverance, discipline, respect, or avoiding online dangers, among other things. As a result of theoretical and practical education, children develop a healthy value system, they will be able to distinguish right from wrong, the essential from the unessential. With the help of kung-fu exercises, they can develop a calm, yet active lifestyle even in the short term. In addition to training, in the summer, we welcome children to the Wu De junior summer camps, where in addition to kung-fu, we learn languages, relax, play music, and do creative things. We recommend two training sessions per week for children, on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.

Wing Tsun kung-fu

Wing Tsun kung-fu

Wing Tsun kung-fu, like other kung-fu styles, originated in China. Its specialty is that it attacks sensitive targets with short and precise movements, making it an excellent self-defense technique for a smaller person. It diverts the attacker's power and redirects it back to the attacker by adding its own power. Wing Tsun footwork is characterized by quick steps and low kicks, which are performed in sync with hand techniques. Wing Tsun, however, is not only about fighting and self-defense, but also about self-expression, personality development and self-realization. As with any other art, Wing Tsun also helps us to get to know ourselves and our own limitations better. When practicing kung fu, we not only train our bodies, but also gain greater confidence, endurance and stamina through a lot of practice. During practice, the ability to concentrate, condition, reflexes and movement coordination also develop. In addition to developing physical abilities and acquiring a healthy philosophy of life, the logic and memory of the practitioners also develop: during the exercises, we place great emphasis on anatomical and physical explanations, as well as explaining the connection between cause and effect. Through Far Eastern culture, we can gain insight into the mysteries of the Chinese language and philosophy; and with the help of moral education, the student can further develop self-discipline, courage, willpower, perseverance and patience. The principles and teachings learned in Wing Tsun training can be applied by students not only during practice, but also in everyday life, so they can become a kind of guide for them to find the right path and their own path in today's world. Wing Tsun kung fu trainings: Morning group: Tuesday, Thursday 8:00-9:30 Evening group: Monday, Wednesday 18:00-19:30 Location: Wu De Activity Hall (Trencséni Street 22, Szeged) "Kung fu is both a mental and physical challenge, an excellent tool for keeping our bodies and souls young. The school leaders work with diverse methods, unwavering enthusiasm, and maximum patience and respect for their students to ensure our continuous development. They place special emphasis on strengthening the cohesion between group members, thanks to which we can practice in a friendly community week after week." Szabolcs
